Dear Canton Residents,

As we look ahead to Memorial Day, I am happy to share some information for our Canton veterans.  I recently met with Lee Wilson, Commander of the Gildo T. Consolini VFW Post 3272 in Avon.  The Avon VFW Post is actively seeking to expand its membership to include Canton veterans, and they will warmly welcome Canton veterans to visit with members of the Post at Truffles on Main Restaurant, 300 West Main Street (Route 44), on Thursday mornings from 9:30am – 11:30am.  This is an opportunity to meet with veterans in a casual and friendly setting, and learn about the VFW’s community activities and the benefits of membership in the VFW.  The Avon VFW Post is committed to working for the service of veterans and the current military, in keeping with their motto: “No one does more for veterans and their families than the Veterans of Foreign Wars.”  If you are a Canton veteran and need more information, please contact me at 860-693-7847, or Lee Wilson at commander@avonvfw.com.
