Dear Canton Residents,

The Board of Selectmen has begun work on the 2016-2017 Town Budget. Our Chief Administrative Officer, Robert Skinner, presented his proposed budget, which can be viewed here, to the BOS at our February 10th meeting. Here’s what will happen next:

Feb 24th - The BOS will consider the proposed budget and make any modifications
March 9th - The BOS will vote to adopt a budget
March 15th - The BOS will present its budget to the Board of Finance
March 28th - The Board of Finance will hold a public hearing on the budget
May 9th – The budget will be presented at the Annual Budget Meeting

If you wish to learn more about the budget or share your thoughts, please plan to attend any or all of these meetings. More information will be forthcoming on the budget as the process moves forward. Please check the Town website and emails for updates.
