We serve adults aged 60 years and older, adults with disabilities, families, and individuals 18 years and older needing financial and other kinds of assistance. Each person’s situation is assessed and assistance is coordinated to best meet the specific needs of the individual or family. Social Services also offers information on housing options and home care services that are available. 

Social Services for Canton residents include:

  • Eligibility screening for State and Federal financial assistance/entitlement programs
  • Processing energy assistance, Medicaid, Medicare Savings, food stamp, and food bank applications
  • Providing information and referral services limited case management, and other supportive services
