10/12/2021 - Frank H. Pierce

YOUR SILENT NEIGHBORS, Frank H. Pierce, Collins Company Worker

When he died late on a Friday night at age 85 while home on Torrington Avenue, Frank H. Pierce (1874-1960) was the oldest member of the Collinsville Congregational Church. Born in Collinsville, he attended Canton schools and then went to work in the machine department of the Collins Company for many years. Pierce was a long-time member of the Village Lodge of Masons.

A funeral was held at the Gordon Ventres Funeral Home at 6 The Green. Reverend Bruce Anderson of the Collinsville Congregational Church officiated. At his death, Pierce’s closest relatives were two cousins.

Frank H. Pierce is buried in the Village Cemetery, Collinsville.
